Mr Brown (is out of town) at the Tsarina’s Stone, Helsinki, Finland

“Mr Brown is out of town” was two days ago in Helsinki at the oldest public monument in Finland. He writes: ”  In 1835 this monument was erected in honour of the visit by Tsar Nikolai I and the Tsarina Alexandra to Helsinki.
In the year of the Russian Revolution and Finland’s independence (1917), Russian seamen took down the globe and eagle, but the Finns kept them safe and the monument was restored in 1971″.
